Ilya is a seasoned developer with over a decade worth of experience designing and building scalable distributed systems. Specializing in backend development with Go, he has an extensive history of developing high-performance services and microservice-based architectures in cloud-native environments.

Earlier in his career, Ilya worked on backend systems powering one of the world’s most widely used mapping platforms. In the fintech domain, Ilya has worked with Tink and Trustly, where he helped design and develop distributed backend systems handling high volumes of financial transactions. He is keen on improving system architecture and building backend services that are reliable, observable, and easy to operate in production.

His coding repertoire includes Go as the main language, as well as a variety of different databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ScyllaDB (Cassandra-compatible), Amazon Neptune, and SQL Server.
