Specialising in backend development with Go, Ilya has spent over a decade designing and building scalable distributed systems for his clients. At Tink and Trustly, he helped design and develop distributed backend systems handling high volumes of financial transactions. Earlier on, he worked on Apple's back-end systems.
His stack centres on Go as the main language, as well as databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ScyllaDB (Cassandra-compatible), Amazon Neptune, and SQL Server. He builds event-driven systems using Kafka and RabbitMQ, and operates cloud-native infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, and containerized platforms.
Ilya is keen on improving system architecture and building backend services that are reliable, observable, and easy to operate in production.
